iPort is proud
to announce a new feature on the FS5 and IW5
products. This is one you have all
been asking for and now it is here!
iPort
now allows for video menus to be browsed and
video to be played back while controlling
the iPod from a control systems such as AMX
and Crestron. This is a unique feature
to iPort.
You will need
the following to take advantage of this
feature:
- An iPort
with the Authentication board (this is a
new RS232 card)
- Most
recent firmware for iPort (see web site
for firmware history www.iportmusic.com/moduleaccess.html
)
- Control
module for the control system iPort is
connected to
Level 5
products are now shipping with the
Authentication Board and corresponding
firmware. An upgrade kit and program
will be available later this month for those
who want to upgrade your product in the
field. New AMX and Crestron modules have
been posted to go along with this new
feature. Other control partners will be
making their module available through their
software updates.
Now
your iPod is truly a multi media device, and
if you did not know this, the iPod now
supports 640 X 480 video resolutions and
there are many ways to put video content on
an iPod. The most popular is to
download it from iTunes. Software like
QuickTime and EyeTV for Macs and Windows
will compress video into formats compatible
with iPod. This will become the most
popular feature of an iPod. iPort is
proud to be the first to offer your
customers the ability to browse through
their video content on an iPod anywhere in
the house.
